Terms of use

Wardsum is provided by Crown Student Consultancy (CSC) UK Ltd, trading as Ferrolo (company number 14324057, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ), referred to here as “we”, “us” and “our”. Questions about this document go to wardsum@ferrolo.com.

1. These terms

These terms apply when you use the Wardsum app or this website. By using them you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use Wardsum.

2. Guidance, not tax advice

Wardsum helps you see where you stand with HMRC’s rules for people who sell online. It gives general guidance based on HMRC’s published rules. It is not tax, legal or financial advice, and it does not know your full situation. If you are unsure, check gov.uk or speak to an accountant.

3. Your responsibility

You are responsible for your own tax, for what you tell HMRC, and for keeping your own records. The figures in Wardsum are only as good as what you enter. Pound amounts for the €2,000 limit use an exchange rate and are approximate.

4. Rules can change

HMRC and the platforms can change their rules at any time. We last checked the rules that Wardsum uses in November 2026. We update them when we can, but we cannot promise that they are always current.

5. Wardsum Pro

Wardsum is free to download. Wardsum Pro is a subscription with a 7-day free trial. You can pay £24.99 a year, or, where Apple offers it, £2.09 a month with a 12-month commitment. You buy it in the app through Apple, and Apple takes the payment. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial or the current term, it renews automatically and Apple charges you. On the monthly plan, cancelling stops the plan renewing at the end of the 12 months; the monthly payments you agreed to for that term continue. You can cancel in the Settings app on your iPhone: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Apple handles refunds.

Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the app, together with these terms.

6. Your data

How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy.

7. No promises

Wardsum is provided “as is”. We do not promise that it is free of errors, that it is always available, or that it suits your purpose.

8. Our responsibility

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for tax, penalties, interest or other losses that come from decisions you make using Wardsum. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not let us limit, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Not affiliated

Wardsum is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Vinted, Depop, eBay, Amazon, Etsy, Facebook or HMRC. Their names belong to their owners and are used only to say which platforms the rules apply to.

10. Changes and ending

We can update these terms. The new terms apply when they are published here. You can stop using Wardsum at any time by deleting the app and cancelling Wardsum Pro.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts can decide disputes, unless the law of your country gives you the right to use your own courts.
